National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) began as Advanced Academy of Agronomy and Forestry in 1919. The university continued to grow in size, and in 1971 it became a national university, and assumed its present name: National Chung Hsing University. NCHU is now a comprehensive university where one can study a wide range of disciplines, such as agriculture, biology, veterinary medicine, science, engineering, literature, law and politics, and business administration.
