With the impact of low birth rate in Taiwan’s society, the universities have been seeking for solutions to improve their competitiveness and attract more students. One of the most crucial parts is to raise the universities’ reputation and ranking in the world. Therefore, MOST GASE invited two speakers from Times Higher Education (THE) to introduce the mission of THE and share with universities’ administrative staffs current international R&D trend, Taiwan’s R&D strength and performance, as well as branding strategies for higher education institutions. The conference allowed participants from Taiwan’s universities to learn different ideas on how to enhance the linkage between the university and students and maximize its influence.
