As global science and innovation advances rapidly, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Center for Global Affairs and Science Engagement (GASE) has established the 'GASE TASK FORCE', where the first meeting was successfully held yesterday.
To grasp the latest development of international science community, the R&D Department of GASE has been working on the research and analysis of global progress of science and technology. To conduct thorough analysis, one of the most critical missions of the Department is to connect with experienced researchers who have been active in international collaboration in order to organize the 'GASE TASK FORCE'. The spirit of the Task Force is not only to create an informative data base of global ST&I, but also provide more opportunities for researchers who aim to pursue bilateral collaboration in the future.
The first meeting focused on the region of South America, especially the top 3 countries with noticeable science and technology development, including Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Presented on the GASE TASK FORCE were National Professor Chin-Chung Tsai from National Taiwan Normal University, Assistant Professor Chung-Ming Chang from Chang Gung University, Professor Guey-Lin Lin from National Chiao Tung University, and Associate Professor Kwo-Wei Kung from Tamkang University.
